I do not think there will be any issues. It's cheaper for the company to apply for EAD renewal than for H1B extension, though...

If this is not possible i suggest you file a change of status to B-2 and then you can decide what needs to be done, this will give you some breathing room.

My suggestion would be to get in touch with your local DMV/auto insurance agent regarding the legal requirements for someone on visitors visa to drive in US.
I am sure he can drive with an Indian international license, but I think "meridiani.planum" is talking more in terms of liability issues. For example, if there is an accident or any other lawsuit (driving or non-driving related), will the sponsored party (the one who sent the letter that got him the visa) be liable?
Does anyone know about this?

I think this is independent of sec 508. Countries like India, China, mexico, philliphines, UK (in fact the top 12 immigrant sending countries) are all excluded.

1. yes, if u use ac21, you can get ur h1 transferred too or opt to use your ead.
2. when u start new employment u fill out an I-9 form and will provide your ead at that time. It basically means you are using your ead for employment, which will automatically invalidate your h1b visa. so i don't think you can do the transfer at a later time.

Anybody with July 19th receipt date got their Check encashed? How about Receipt Notice? EB-3 India.
I am worried about checks not being cashed yet. After Aug 17th the window is closed.

The idea makes such good economic sense (the government would be price discriminating to increase its revenue) that if USCIS were a private entity they would have implemented something like this a long time ago. But unfortunately it is not and we have to suffer under a "one size fits all" system.

What kind of help are you looking for?? Its all in the IV forums about AC21... You need nothing... If you think your employer may revoke your approved I-140.. then you need to inform USCIS of your using AC21 to do a job change... If your I-140 is not approved yet.. you need to wait...

Using AP does not necessarily mean that one is using the EAD. It is just a document that allows you to travel when needed.

The I-94 stays valid as long as you stay working for that employer. Even though you entered using the AP, CIS has said that you can work pursuant to the underlying H-1B status.

EAD is not a solution - EAD just makes our life a bit easier than on h1b - the struggle continues even on EAD.
How can you expect govt to fix your problem if you lack motivation?
Lets start mobilizing the chapter
Remember, we are no VIPs, we are in a mass distribution system and no one has special previlidges here, your lives won't change uless you motivate yourselves and speak up for yourselves.
We need a very strong resprsentation from everyone in the community.
Ignoring our requests only puts all of us in a tougher situation

My collegues have travelled via Germany with exipred visa(they had valid I94s too). and I heard that only via Germany transit visa is not necessary. But if you travel through France, transit visa is necessary.

Sorry to go on about my birds, but this I wanted to share...
I was out to get some training photographing flying birds when I suddenly saw this seagull that had a wooden stick poking out from the neck. I decided to turn photo journalist for a while and concentrate on pictures of this unlucky bird. I don't know what could have happened to it, either it has accidentally flown into something or God forbid someone has shot an arrow at it. :(
I have already found out that photographing flying birds is difficult, but try photographing a specific bird in a big flock - that's taking the difficulty to another level! :) I managed to get a few inflight pictures as well though. Unfortunately it was of course not too difficult to spot with the wooden pointer attached.
This is what I first saw, the bird flying past me a couple of times:

He was clearly irritated, kept scratching around the head and shaking to get rid of the stick:

This bird seemed quite dominant, kept chasing off other birds, so it wasn't too hindering:
