In 90% of what we say, does it have any point to it? You say, "Hello." What's the Point? You already know that you know them, and they know that you know them; therefore is there any point in saying hello, if you can just smile, showing you've acknowledged them. Don't see why Apple would make any hardware changes that would put the breaks on Jailbreaking. Unlocking is a totally different animal so we'll have to see....
There could be legitimate reasons to stop a jailbreak. They are an open security hole that allows access to the device. By closing the jailbreak they are restricting one way to access secure data stored on the device.
I like jailbreaks, but I don't like the idea that somebody can plug a password protected phone into a computer and easily download all text messages and contacts from it.

id much rather get a free one than pay for it, dont worry i'm not doing anything illegal so stop being nasty.

What is a good app for a newbie to create a webpage? I want something simple and easy, free would be a plus. I also have a simple knowledge of html.
After a lot of deciding, I bought and am now using Dreamweaver. It isn't free though. If you qualify for a student/faculty discount it is $99. I am using the book Dreamweaver MX 2004: the Missing Manual (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0596006314/qid=1127826156/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-6951142-5757641?v=glance&s=books&n=507846)
which is helping me a lot. I love the tutorials which you can download from the books website.

Get the i7. Based on what you said you were going to use it for (besides gaming), it'll be worth it.
I may be wrong, but my understanding about vram is not that the 6790m is not powerful enough for 2GB, but that games right now don't typically need the full 2GBs. That being said, of all the upgrade choices I made, the jump to 2GB seemed the most brainless: not that much more money for a little bit more future proofing.

I myself am about to help another friend return to the folds.
She used to use a Mac years ago I believe, and I've been re-educating her over the past few weeks. She i believe is now keen to buy a Powerbook!
Only dilemma for me is to decide whether to help her buy a refurb or new one!
I hope that she will be successful with the purchase. The refurb is a good deal for those that want to save some money.

I'm getting ready to head to Florida with my kids and wife. I am so looking forward to this vacation.
I just totaled up my hours that I worked for the past two months. I've worked 7 days a week 70+ hours of work for the past 2 months. This week I've started working at 6:00am, and finishing up at 11:00pm (with a break for lunch and making dinner).
What do you do for work and why? :eek:

Also if u go through the menu's at the end it will also show the pic with a man using a powerbook and displaying it on tv.
I remember a couple of months ago somebody posted this same pic but a larger version of it. Nobody seemed to know what it ment until now.

But when u first connect it to iTunes it's gonna ask you to update to 4.3 which we will just decline for the time being....
I doubt that the iPad 2 will ship with 4.2.1 Just because the GM was released to developers today doesn't mean that apple hasn't been sitting on it for a week or two.

-rss news feed from the main site
-schedule
-map
Am I right in thinking that the only software I need is xcode 4 and a developers license to get the app into the app store?
I have some experience in coding, mainly HTML. From the screenshots of xcode 4, it looks similar to dreamweaver in that you can work in a GUI(add table by clicking on the table button) or by coding it.
Is it that simple, or am I getting it wrong?
Also, if I buy a developers license for a year, what happens after that year? Does the app stay in the store, but I cannot update it, or does it disappear from the app store?

I don't mind spending the $99 to get a developer license, I just didn't want to do it if I couldn't do what I needed to do.
We already have a website/twitter/facebook, I just wanted to cover all bases and an app seemed like the next step.

Wait, hang on. Was this supposed to be a FREE printer? If yes, then I can see how you'd be upset... otherwise, it's possible they just ran out of them and can't get anymore within a reasonable timeframe. In that case, you can hardly say that you were gypped; if they're only charging you for what can be delivered to you, that's correct behavior.

OK, I just reset it and put all my apps back on, only this time it is NOT jailbroken. It is doing the same thing.

I've been adding articles of products announced at Macworld, but it seems it doesn't work for products with an apostrophe in their name. I added both iLife '06 and iWork '06, but neither of those pages show are world editable, regardless of whether I use "%27" or "'" in the links. Is this fixable arn?
