Total people that have signed up till now is : 154
We have a lot of ground to cover and only 154 members have shown commitment.
The whole retrogression is very depressing if you were to look at numbers and predictions based on the numbers. This is the reason we need to work harder and contribute our time and money for this effort. If we cannot do it this year, then we can easily forget getting a greencard for the next 2 years and more. There will be no immigration bill next year due to presidential election.
This is all the more reason for us to go all out and get the immigration bill passed this year itself. We need all members to help in this effort. We have a strong membership of around 8500 members we can count on for support. However it is sad that only 154 members have thus far contributed in the past 1 week despite all the effort to raise funds. IV is prepared to go all out and get the work done, the question is ARE YOU?

If we can setup booths in front of Indian Community centers in various cities, post flyers at Indian grocery stores etc, we would be able to reach a much wider audience. I think we might be reaching the maximum number of ppl that would contribute who are browsing this web site. No amount of requests would get non-contributers to contribute. So, probably the efforts should be concentrated on getting newer members from outside...

May I know in what respect multi-national execs are inferior to researchers?
What classifies as a multi-national executive? Is there a set criteria like they have for researchers i.e. quality of papers published, cited and reviewed by peers, impact of research etc.
To answer the question : Does a person with a BS + 6 yrs of experience (the quality of which is questionable at best) equate to a person with several years of quality research (yes the quality of research is a determining factor), I think you might want to ask yourself: If you had your own company who would you hire? Unless you are running a Ponzi scam show of course.

except that the visa bulletin is published by the department of state, not USCIS...
anyway EB3-India and hopefully EB3-ROW would definately move soon, they seem to have been pushed too far back out...
There are chances of a slowdown in the Dec visa bulletin due to Holiday season and internal audits.

It looks like to me that Porters strike again. they have eaten all the Visa's. very few approvals so far. I am worried about next bulletin now. dates can go back now. every EB3 is porting to EB2.
we see the results. they will block EB2 too.
I'm seeing around 10 approvals from yesterday. Most of the approvals seems like coming after hours. Most of the people are saying they got emails after 11:30 PM last night.
All the cases I have seen are from TSC, none from NSC :confused:

I goy back my new and cancelled passports on March 4 through FEDEX. It was just 10 days....Also my friend got back in 10 days,,Unless, there is something pending from you, The consulate will not delay..there may be a few typical cases why the passport is delayed...
Also, I have the US address in my passport.

This is Great. You dont have to run the entire 10K. You can run part of it and walk the rest. I do that a lot.
This is a link to other races in the DC area: I have never run a race; so I plan on running one of the 5K races in May or June and maybe try one of the 10K races in August. I am sure there are other races abound in summer. If there are others who are apprehensive about running the 10miler (like me).........you might want to try doing something similar.

What is even more surprising is PlainSpeak is a member from 2006 and doesn't know anything about advocacy and lobbying. Probably because he/she has never been a donor.
Of course I've seen people who browse other so called immigration/chat forums and pick up wierd ideas and fantasies about lobbying and then post here. Its just mob mentality with un-practical ideas and they think if a mob says its right then maybe it has to be right. yes?
Then they claim that only they are right (the mob) and we are all wrong and don't know how to do things - strange indeed.
People can chat, argue all they want on forums, but about 99% of people on public forums know nothing about advocacy.
Yes i have been a member since 2006 and yes i dont know much about advocacy and lobbying, but what i do know is that advocacy and lobbying is possible only if you have an organization behind you and in this case EB3 does not believe that the organization named IV is behind them.

They do that because they believe that when that party come to power the goverment will be positive towards that specific business. Now what part of the example is not clear to you. EB3 do not donate to IV because they do not believe IV supports EB3 cause. Sure IV says that it is for all EB but the concerns of EB3 get trodden under the general good of EB Community (Read that as EB2)

above post has lot of spelling mistakes and is misleading too ..texas is bit better but owning is cheaper only if prices are increasing at inflation plus 1 or 2 percent minimum. (and this may not happen for 4-5 years ..once prices start to increase..your calculation becomes applicable)

this whole thread is a nonsense, it belevies that people are not aware of the tricks placed by desi consulting companies. how come people do not take jobs
in foutune 500 companies if they are so good at their skills, why do people go to
desi consulting companies for training, after MS degree every body is asking for
the list of consulting companies( why do they do that ).
there are people who ask is it valid to be without payslips on H1B ( how much
more ignorent can u be ) , bottom line they could not find the project and they want to blame the desi company for not paying them ( trash ).

when i was in michigan, i drove to indian consulate in chicago, they gave me PIO card for my daughter in half hour time. can you believe it? ofcourse paid extra fees for this. they talk polite too.

Still no sign of the EAD
NSC is slow compared to TSC and also they start the EAD on the day it is approved and not when the previous one expires.
Somebody, needs to take this up with the Ombudsman due to difference in the processing policies and times for EAD renewals.
Application received by NSC on April 8th.
